One of the more common questions we get is "why is PowerCreamer expensive?" PowerCreamer is expensive for a few reasons, let's break it down:
Believe it or not, our 10oz bottle holds 20 servings and each one of those servings contains 120 calories from 100% high quality, highly valued fats. PowerCreamer uses fats that were chosen specifically for their benefits and flavor.
Our main ingredient, grass fed ghee, has long been considered a superfood by ancient ayurvedic medicine standards. Known to provide energy, vitality, and healing, ghee commonly contains vital fat soluble nutrients like Vitamin, A, E, D, K, K2, CLA and Omega 3's. Our grassfed ghee has a rich flavor that ads nicely to any high quality coffee or tea. You can learn more about ghee here.
Another important ingredient, MCT Oil, is used as a supplement for quick and long lasting energy. MCT Oil is digested differently than most foods, and can quickly be broken down into what are known as Ketones. Ketones provide energy to the body and are the preferred fuel source for the brain. When comparing the ingredient statement of PowerCreamer to a standard coffee creamer, it is easy to see just how different they really are. You will see that the first ingredient on a typical liquid coffee creamer is WATER! Typical refrigerated coffee creamers contain as much as 60%-70% Water. Why would be pay for water?
They use water as a filler, because their other ingredients don't pack any real nutrients. On the other hand, PowerCreamer is packed with nutrient rich Grassfed ghee from pasture raised cows as well as Organic Virgin Coconut Oil. There are no other creamers on the market that feature MCT Oil, a supplement used for instant energy and benefits to metabolism. The PowerCreamer is considered a concentrated formula because there is no water, fillers or emulsifiers.
Because the PowerCreamer contains no water, you must blend or froth it into the coffee. To some, that may be a BIG downside, however, PowerCreamer is completely shelf stable, meaning that it never needs refrigerated and it can travel with you anywhere.
We also think that blending the PowerCreamer is a small price to pay to KEEP OUT ingredients like:
We have a rule here at Omega Health Products, "if you can't pronounce it, DON'T EAT IT!"
When we were developing PowerCreamer we searched for 1 full year trying out different ingredients, taste testing every single one multiple times. At first we had trouble finding high quality, great tasting ingredients, but we just kept searching until we came across the amazing combination of ingredients that makes up PowerCreamer. Typical coffee creamers are made with the lowest priced ingredients they can find. In the food industry these are often called "commodity ingredients", which means you can get them anywhere and they are not chosen for their taste or quality.
They use harmful partially hydrogenated oils like Soybean Oil, Corn Oil, or LOW QUALITY, MASS PRODUCED Vegetable Oils. Most coffee creamers are absolutely packed with sugar, sometimes as much a 6-10 grams per serving. PowerCreamer's primary ingredient is Grassfed, Pasture raised ghee. You can learn more about ghee here. The next ingredient is Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, and lastly MCT Oil. These 3 ingredients make PowerCreamer a great option for a nutritious healthy morning. You won't find any sugar or harmful fats in our product.
Medium Chain Triglycerides are broken down rapidly by the body and converted into Ketones, which can be used as fuel for the body and brain. MCT oil is what gives PowerCreamer it's name. You can learn more about MCT Oil here.
Because PowerCreamer is made with beneficial fats, you get all the qualities of a great tasting creamer and more. Most creamers still tout the "low fat" slogan, because they are living on the age old idea that "Fat's are bad" or "Fat's make you fat". We don't believe that and that's why we created the highest quality product on the market.
